Synchronized swimming combines grace, strength and creativity into the most innovative sport in aquatic programming since water polo. Although its roots are in the water, synchronized swimming is the best all-around development sport represented in the Olympics today.
Through synchronized swimming, you will:
Experience the thrill of athletic competition
Participate in the beauty of a water show
Develop physical and mental awareness
Learn cooperation and team spirit
Broaden your knowledge of music
Build a strong, healthy body
Have the opportunity to travel
Improve your concentration
Develop lasting friendships
Spark your creativity
YCF Loreleis offers athletes (ages seven years and older) an opportunity to learn about and compete in this beautiful sport. Beginning lessons are offered on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the year. Competition is held on local, national, and international levels. The sport is governed by the United States Synchronized Swimming, Inc. (USSSI).
YCF Loreleis (formerly known as Team Orlando Loreleis) have been consistently represented at U.S. South Zone Championships, National Age Group Championships, Junior Olympic Nationals and Senior U.S. Nationals by their team members. We are very proud of our team record as the Loreleis have medaled in all major meets including Olympic Sports Festival. Additionally, the swimmers compete both locally and statewide throughout the season and participate in Florida’s Sunshine State Games each summer.
